You must have a digital copy of your drawing prepared in .jpeg (recommended), .gif, or .png format before you can upload it to the Gallery. You can create .jpeg’s of your drawings using a scanner. If you don’t have access to a scanner you can use a digital camera, but this will result in a poorer quality image.
Important: Your scanner should be set to scan at 72dpi. This is known as "screen" resolution. Increasing the dpi beyond 72 will not increase the quality of your digital image as it appears on a computer monitor.
Once you’ve scanned your image, ensure that the file size is less than 200kb or you may have difficulty uploading it to the Drawspace server. Also, make sure you’re aware of the file’s location on your computer or you won’t be able to find it when you try to upload it.
When you are ready, upload your image to an album and it will appear automatically in the Drawspace gallery.
Start by going to your "My Drawspace" page:
http://www.drawspace.com/my_drawspace/
You will first need to create an "album" to hold the images you wish to upload. Click the "Add/edit gallery albums" link located near the bottom of the page. You will be brought to the album manager of your control panel. Follow the onscreen instructions to create your first album.
Once you've created your album, find the "controls" drop-down on the far right-hand side of your album manager and choose "Upload Image". Give your image a caption and description, then find the "Browse" button near the bottom of the page.
When you click the browse button you will see a pop-up window containing the files stored on your computer. Search through these files and find the image that you wish to upload to your album. Select the image, and click "Open". The pop-up will disappear. Now click "Post Image".
After the image uploads you will be brought back to your album manager. The image upload may take a minute or two depending on your connection speed. Repeat this process to add more images to your album.
If your album is public, others will be able to view it by visiting the Drawspace gallery.
